Martin Whelan

Martin graduated from the University of Pretoria, South Africa in 1997 and has been the proud owner of Greenleaves Dental Practice since 2008. Martin is very passionate about all the work he does and is dedicated to providing an outstanding level of dental care. He has extensive knowledge in implantology and is a leading facial cosmetic consultant with 15 years’ experience in facial aesthetics, working in clinics down Wimpole Street performing a lot of cosmetic work to high end clientele. Martin has been an accredited trainer by NHS East of England Multi-Professional Deanery for the past 5 years. He has served for the last 4 years on the local Dental Council and has recently been selected to serve on the British Dental Association. He has been training new Vocational Dentists the importance of working in practice from university. Guiding them in the importance of correct treatment planning. Martin has an amazing relationship with all his patients and staff who highly respect him.

Greenleaves Dental also offers a variety of facial aesthetic treatments. These procedures are safe, minimally invasive and will leave you with a fresher, more youthful appearance.

Dr Michael Taylor
BDS Kings College London GDC No:- 211376 Invisilign Orthodontist, Dental Surgeon
Michael qualified from Kings college London and Joined Greenleaves Dental Practice in 2011. As well as being a Dental Surgeon, Michael is a certified platinum practitioner for Invisalign Braces making hundreds of patients smile more using Invisalign. As well as being one of the best Invisalign practitioners in Hertfordshire, he is also an accredited Vocational Trainer for the East Of England. Michael has extensive experience working with anxious patients as well as children. He always puts his patients needs first, making sure they feel completely comfortable and have full trust in him. Michael is very friendly, an extremely happy individual who never fails to put a smile on your face.
Dr Huma Sofie Lemar
BDS (Hons), BSc (Hons)
Dr Lemar graduated with Honours from Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry in 2010. She has extensive experience in general and aesthetic dentistry, treating both adults and children with a calm, friendly approach that puts patients at ease. She has a strong interest in facial aesthetics and is trained through the prestigious Harley Academy. She offers a range of advanced treatments including anti-wrinkle injections, dermal fillers, and masseter injections for facial slimming and jaw tension relief. She is also an experienced Invisalign® provider helping you achieve your dream smile. In addition, she is the Clinical Governance Lead for the Hertfordshire Urgent Care Dental Service, where she supports fellow clinicians and has been delivering urgent dental care for over 15 years.
Dr Claudia Tailor
GP
Dr Claudia Tailor is an experienced General Practitioner who has worked as an NHS doctor for fifteen years. She completed her medical degree at King's College London in 2010. Her extensive training included posts in Paediatrics, Dermatology, Sexual Health and A&E. In addition to her previous NHS GP role, Dr Tailor was also the Clinical Lead for Long Term Conditions and the PCN Lead for the Barnet Integrated Paediatric Hub. Dr Tailor passed her MRCPCH Foundation of Programme exam in 2012 and is currently doing a post-graduate diploma in Lifestyle Medicine, as one of her passions is preventative healthcare. She has also completed the British Menopause Society course in the Management of Menopause, and is working towards the Level 7 Diploma in Aesthetics. Dr Tailor is fluent in English and Portuguese, and speaks and understands Spanish to a good standard. In her spare time, she enjoys going for a nice brunch with her young family.
Kim Nash
BSc (Hons) - Dental Hygienist
Kim joined our practice in 2019 as a dental nurse meanwhile she was studying to became a hygienist. She qualified from university of Portsmouth in 2021, where she obtained a qualification of BSc Dental Hygiene. She is continually keeping up to date to enhance her knowledge and professional development in dentistry and aesthetics field. She is qualified to provide Morpheus8, Diolaze hair removal and Sofwave treatments and already enrolled on a course for Lumecca. Kim is an extremely gentle and caring hygienist. Her calm, reassuring and friendly character makes all her patients feel at ease and return back to our practice for a regular general hygiene session. In her spare time Kim enjoys traveling and plays ladies football for team Flitwick.
Dr Costa Petrou
BDS UCLan GDC No 251222 Dental Surgeon, Cosmetic Dentist
Costa Graduated from The University of Central Lancashire. He is passionate about dentistry having a special interest in smile make overs and Facial Aesthetics. Costa believes every patient he sees should have complete confidence in smiling and does his utmost effort in achieving this. He has a very relaxed & friendly approach towards patients, committed to providing excellent patient centred dentistry. Costa believes in continuing his professional development and regularly attends courses.
Dr Spencer Richman
Endodontist
Qualified from Manchester University in 2002, and obtained his master’s degree in Endodontics in 2016, Spencer is highly trained specialising in the diagnosis and treatment of complex root canal cases. He is dedicated to preserving natural teeth through advanced endodontic therapies, combining precision, innovation and compassionate care to achieve the best possible outcomes for his patients. He values teamwork and collaboration within the dental practice, working closely with general dentists and other specialists to provide comprehensive care tailored to each patient’s needs. Spencer also stays at the forefront of endodontic research and innovations, continuously refining his skills and integrating evidence-based practices into his treatment approach. By pairing advanced technology with personalised care, he strives to make every procedure as comfortable as possible. Outside of clinical practice, he has spent several years at the Royal College of Surgeons, where he was an examiner. Outside of work Spencer enjoys spending time with his family, where he is a father of two children.
Lina Petrone
Dental Hygenist
Lina started working at Greenleaves Dental practice in 2011 as a dental nurse. She graduated from Lithuanian University of Applied Sciences in 2021 with a Bachelor's Degree in Dental Hygiene. Lina believes that appropriate dental hygiene highly contributes to an overall health. Therefore she is passionate about patient education and helping people understand the importance of complete oral care. Lina’s goal is to know her patients and provide individual care for their specific needs. She aims to make her patients feel comfortable and her gentle technique, alongside her kind and reassuring manner, helps put her patients at ease. Lina is keen to keep up to date with all the latest developments and regularly attends courses to further educate herself. Outside of work Lina likes to travel and enjoys meeting new people and experiencing new cultures.
Anett Vecsari
Hygenist
Anett has been working as a hygienist in the UK for five years. Originally from Hungary where she graduated, Anett is dedicated and compassionate, with a strong commitment to promoting oral health and delivering exceptional patient care. With her professional background rooted in both preventive dentistry and patient education, she strives to create a positive and comfortable experience for every individual who sits in her chair. Know for her gentle approach and attention to detail, Anett excels in performing deep cleans, periodontal treatment and air flows, while educating patients on the importance of preventive care. She takes pride in building lasting relationships with patients and empowering them to take control of their oral health. Beyond her technical expertise, Anett is recognised for her professionalism, strong work ethic, and ability to collaborate seamlessly with dentists and team members to ensure the best treatments are provided to her patients. She stays current with the latest advancements in dental hygiene and is passionate about continuing her education to provide the highest standard of care. When she isn’t in the dental practice, Anett enjoys travelling to Sardina with her family, where she escapes from the cold UK winters for some sun.
Dr Max Seiter
B.D.S General Dentist
Max qualified at the University of Birmingham, winning the Walpole Day prize in Orthodontics. He is very passionate about dentistry and his main aim is to always listen to patients concerns and build up a relationship with patients based on trust. Max believes every patient should have complete confidence in smiling and he puts in his upmost effort to achieve this. Max has joined Greenleaves Dental Practice in September 2019 as a Vocational Dentist and after completion of his year of training he continued working for the practice as a general dentist. He likes all areas of general dentistry, especially treating nervous patients and enjoys being part of the wider dental team. Outside of dentistry Max enjoys running, cooking and open water swimming.
Dr Dilek Guvenc
Periodontist
Dr. Guvenc is an accomplished periodontist from Istanbul, known for her strong interest in dental aesthetics. She earned her Dentistry degree from the University of Istanbul, followed by a PhD in periodontology. Her doctoral research, which explored the connection between generalized aggressive periodontitis and cardiovascular disease received special distinction. She completed her PhD in 2010. Following her doctorate, Dr. Guvenc spent six years as a faculty member in the Periodontology Department at Istanbul University, where she performed complex surgeries and educated students. In 2013, she was named an associate professor at Istanbul Aydın University before moving into private practice. In her clinic, Dr. Guvenc's expertise includes implantology, treating periodontal disease, cosmetic dentistry, periodontal plastic surgery, bone regeneration, and facial aesthetic procedures. She is a highly regarded practitioner with a presence in both Istanbul and London. Committed to continuous education, Dr. Guvenc frequently attends and presents at international conferences, courses, and symposiums. She holds memberships with the Turkish Society of Periodontology, the International Team for Implantology, and the British Society of Periodontology.
Ellen taylor
Dental Hygenist
Ellen qualified from St Bartholomew’s and the Royal London School of Medicine and Dentistry, Queen Mary and Westfield University London as a Dental Hygienist and Therapist in 2002. She has worked in a variety of setting including Special Care treating children and adults with complex medical histories, as well as those with special needs. Ellen has been at Greenleaves Dental Practice since 2019 and has established good long-standing relationships with our patients needing routine care and maintenance. She also enjoys seeing those patients who have not been seen for years, and being part of the team to transform their mouths. She is kind, gentle and and non-judgmental
Emese Balogh-Bereckzi
Hygenist
Emese is a dedicated hygienist with a strong foundation in preventative and restorative oral healthcare. Originally from Hungary, she earned her oral hygiene degree in Budapest in 2012, where she developed both her clinical expertise and her passion for patient education. In 2017 she earned her bachelor’s degree in homeopathy, which enhances her patient care to another level! With a gentle and detail-orientated approach, Emese provides thorough dental cleanings, periodontal care and oral health assessments while ensuring patients feel comfortable and supported throughout their visit. She is especially committed to educating patients on effective home-care practices, promoting them to maintain healthy smiles beyond the practice. Emese values continuous learning and regularly seeks opportunities to expand her knowledge in the latest advances in dental technology and hygiene techniques. She is recognised for her professionalism, warmth, and ability to build trusting relationships with patients of all ages. Outside of her professional role, Emese enjoys spending time with her young family, and travelling back home to her native land.
